North America Field Contributor Terms & Application

Thanks for your interest in our Field Contributor programme! Applications are currently closed after initial high demand. We'll be sorting applicants and may re-open shortly, so please check back later.

Below are our standard T&Cs for the programme, and you'll find the link to the short application form at the bottom of the page.

1. Overview

NatureSpy is seeking field contributors across North America to help us showcase the region’s incredible biodiversity. Selected participants will receive a free trail camera in exchange for providing example footage of wildlife captured with the camera. We’re not looking for influencers or big follower counts - just people who love wildlife, have access to a good spot, and are as excited to see what their camera captures as we are.

2. Eligibility

  • Open to residents of the USA and Canada only

  • Applicants must be 18 or older

  • Participants must have a genuine interest in wildlife and non-intrusive observation

  • This opportunity is not open to individuals intending to use the camera for hunting or game scouting

3. What’s Included

  • Contributors will receive a minimum of one NatureSpy trail camera. Depending on availability and/or location, some may receive multiple  cameras or a mix of different models.

  • Memory card may be included at our discretion

  • Shipping will be covered by NatureSpy

4. Your Commitment

By accepting the camera, you agree to:

  • Set up and use the camera in a location where trail camera use is allowed and permitted

  • Capture and submit a minimum of 10 usable images and 10 usable video clips within 6 weeks of receiving the camera

  • Upload all footage to a Google Drive link provided by NatureSpy

  • Ensure all footage is captured using the NatureSpy camera provided

‘Usable’ is defined as:

  • Wildlife clearly visible and identifiable

  • Both day and night clips accepted

  • Videos must be at least 10 seconds long

  • Images must be clear and unobstructed (e.g. no branches in front of the lens)

  • Aesthetic set-ups are welcome!

We welcome footage of a variety of species, including but not limited to: raccoons, bears, foxes, deer, birds, squirrels, lynx, bobcats, coyotes, and moose.

5. Camera Ownership

  • The camera is yours to keep once the required footage is submitted

  • Users are encouraged to share additional footage captured on an ongoing basis

  • If footage is not received within the agreed timeframe, NatureSpy reserves the right to request the return of the camera or invoice its retail value
Exceptions may be made if NatureSpy is updated in advance about any difficulties or delays

6. Footage Use

  • All submitted footage becomes the property of NatureSpy upon submission

  • NatureSpy reserves full rights to edit, crop, caption, and use the footage across its website, marketing materials, social media, advertising, and other platforms

  • No contributor credit will be given

  • No financial compensation will be offered

7. Use of Footage by Participants

Participants are welcome to share selected clips on their personal social media accounts, provided:

  • NatureSpy is credited clearly (e.g. tagged or mentioned)

  • The footage is not edited, branded, or repurposed for other projects or commercial use

  • The footage is not shared with third parties, media outlets, or competing organisations

  • It is understood that NatureSpy retains full ownership and licensing rights to all footage submitted
