Great video quality

The Dark Ops Pro X 1080 captures excellent night videos, with enhanced flash and detection ranges over previous models, providing well-balanced contrast for high-quality images.

With 1080p resolution at 30fps, it records smooth HD footage both day and night.

Night videos are limited to 20 seconds per clip, but the camera can quickly recover and retrigger in under 2 seconds.

Fast trigger speeds

Video Trigger speed: approx. 0.3 seconds
Photo Trigger speed: approx. 0.18 seconds

Video Recovery speed: approx. 1.8 seconds
Photo Recovery speed: approx. 0.6 seconds

Featuring swift detection and rapid recovery, the Pro X 1080 camera expertly captures wildlife as they come into frame, surpassing the performance of slower, older models.

Boasting a high-end detection circuit, it can pickup animal movements up to 100ft away.

Superb battery life

Batteries: 6x AA
Battery Options: Lithium, Alkaline & Rechargeable (over 2500mAh)

The Dark Ops Pro X 1080 has a superb battery life. You can expect approximately 22 months for photos (with 60 captures daily) and 3 months for video (with 20 recordings daily) using Lithium batteries.

For extended battery life, you can use the camera with Browning's Solar Power Pack and External Power Pack accessories.

Easy to position

The metal bracket on this camera is a highlight, enabling easy mounting on a tree or fencepost with adjustable tilt for optimal positioning.

It is a quick, easy, and smart setup solution.

FAQs

The Dark Ops Pro X 1080 uses 'no-glow' LEDs to provide illumination at night. These LEDs emit invisible light to humans, making them great for security.

If you want the camera for mainly Wildlife then we recommend taking a look a the Strike Force Pro X 1080, the sister camera to the Dark Ops. These cameras use low-glow LEDs which emit more light and help the cameras to resolve more image detail at night - many animals can see the light emitted from no-glow LEDs.

No, this model records directly to an SD card only, it is not wirelessly connected. To review your captures you will need to retrieve the SD card, or use the Playback feature on the camera's screen.

For a wildlife camera that uses a phone, check the WiFi WildCam 2 or Helarctos.

Our preferred batteries for any camera are Lithium AAs. They have a much higher current and are impervious to the cold temperatures in winter. Energizer Ultimate Lithium are the best to use.

The Ursus can use rechargeable batteries that have a capacity of at least 2500mAh (Eneloop Pro meet this). These work great, but for extremely cold conditions or situations where recharging the batteries is not feasible, we suggest opting for Lithium batteries.

We strongly recommend that you avoid Duracell batteries and cheap alkaline batteries (i.e. ones that say ‘Extra Long Life’ on the packet) – their technology can mean that you get little life and performance out of them when used in wildlife cameras.

As a general rule, cheap alkaline or zinc batteries will not give you much success!

The best way is to check the example videos above this - if you press the 'Watch' button, you can view real-world footage. Be sure to turn the video quality up to full, especially if you're on a slower internet connection.

We only use branded, tried and tested SD cards. We supply either SanDisk or Kingston cards most often, and occasionally Integral. These will all be high-speed cards, appropriate for the wildlife camera.

We don't use unbranded or low quality cards - so we don't send those out to you either.
